- mix
- ¼ lb. butter, softened
- 1/3 c. honey
- 2 t. salt
- 1 c. milk, scalded
- 2 eggs
- mix in seperate bowl
- 2 T. yeast
- ¼ c. lukewarm water
- mix the mixtures together
- mix
- 2 c. flour
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1/2 t. nutmeg
- 3 eggs
- add egg mixture to other mixtures
- add
- 1½ c. rolled oats
- 1½ c. raisins
- 1¼ c. flour
- ½ c. untoasted wheat germ
- knead well
- let rise until doubled in size
- knead again
- place in 2 buttered loaf pans
- let rise again
- bake 40-45 minutes
- yield: 2 loaves
