sesame shortbread bites


  1. preheat oven to 325º

  2. in a medium mixing bowl, combine

    • 1 1/4 c. flour

    • 3 T. sugar



  3. cut in with pastry blender until mixure resembles fine crumbs

    • 1/2 c. butter



  4. knead in

    • 1/3 c. toasted sesame seeds



  5. on a lightly floured surface, roll dough 1/2 inch thick

  6. cut with cookie cutters or strips with a knife

  7. place on ungreased cookie sheet

  8. bake 25-30 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned



  • yield: 24 cookies
