Crispy Gingersnaps

  1. Preheat oven 375°
  2. Mix
    • 2/3 c. butter or shortening
    • 3/4 c. sugar
    • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  3. Add
    • 1 egg
    • 1 t. vinegar
    • 1 t. vanilla
  4. Add
    • 2 c. flour
    • 1 T. ginger
    • 1 t. baking soda
    • 1 t. cinnamon
    • 1/4 t. cloves
    • 1/4 t. salt
    • 3 T. finely chopped crystallized ginger (optional)
  5. Roll dough into balls, then in sugar
  6. Bake 10 minutes
