- Preheat oven 375°
- Mix
- 2/3 c. butter or shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- Add
- 1 egg
- 1 t. vinegar
- 1 t. vanilla
- Add
- 2 c. flour
- 1 T. ginger
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1/4 t. cloves
- 1/4 t. salt
- 3 T. finely chopped crystallized ginger (optional)
- Roll dough into balls, then in sugar
- Bake 10 minutes
