- Mix together
- Almost 2 T. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- Stir in, Beat until smooth
- 1/2 c. scalded and cooled lukewarm milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 t. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. shortening or softened butter
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- Mix in additional flour until easy to handle
- Knead 5 minutes
- Allow to rise in greased bowl until doubled in size (1 1/2 hours)
- Shape dough into desired shape
- Allow to rise until doubled (30 minutes)
- Bake 25-30 minutes at 370°
Sweet Roll Dough
This recipe makes excellent orange rolls and sticky cinnamon rolls.
