- Preheat oven to 345°
- Stir together, then set aside
- 1 c. flour
- 3/4 c. plus 2 T. sugar
- Beat until foamy
- 12 egg whites
- 1 1/2 t. cream of tartar
- 1/4 t. salt
- Add, then beat until stiff peaks form
- 3/4 c. sugar, 2 T. at a time
- Fold in
- 1 1/2 t. vanilla
- 1/2 t. almond abstract
- Sprinkle in flour-sugar, folding in just until mixed
- Bake 30-35 minutes in ungreased tube pan
Angel Food Cake
This is especially good made with fresh eggs, served with sweetened strawberries and whipped cream.
