einstein bagels


  1. mix together

    • 2 c. warm water

    • 1 T. yeast



  2. knead in

    • 3 T. corn syrup

    • 2 T. molasses

    • 1 t. oil

    • 2 t. salt

    • 4-5 c. flour



  3. shape into bagels, adding

    • cinnamon sugar

    • jalepeno slices/red pepper flakes

    • garlic

    • chopped onions/poppy seeds

    • cheese



  4. allow to rise

  5. boil

    • water

    • 2 T. sugar



  6. drop bagels in water

  7. flip after 20 seconds

  8. bake 30 minutes on cookie sheet with cornmeal



  • yield: 8 large bagels
