- cream together
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- beat in
- 1 egg
- stir in
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 t. baking soda
- 1/2 t. salt
- roll dough into an oval shape, about 1/4 inch thick on a sheet of wax paper; set aside
- melt in microwave
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- spread chocolate chips over dough with spatula
- starting from long end, roll up dough and wrap tightly in plastic wrap
- chill for several hours
- preheat oven to 375º
- slice dough 1/4 inch thick
- place on ungreased cookie sheets
- bake for 12 minutes
- variation: rather than bake the cookies, eat the dough (it's delicious!)
- yield: 3 dozen cookies
